Both sides have so far struggled this season to string together a consistent run of form, and with both sides sitting on 29 points respectively (Arundel have a game in hand) – both clubs will be looking to be the one that closes the gap on the teams above vying for a play-off position.
The Oak have not tasted a home victory since mid-October, and will be wanting to put things right in front of their home supporters.
The Mullets meanwhile have not secured victory on away soil since the start of November – courtesy of an impressive 5-1 victory over big spending Uckfield Town.
Mullets Manager Craig Stuart is rightly wary of the East Sussex side, and is expecting a battle.
“It is going to be a tough game tomorrow at Mile Oak.”
“They are not doing too bad this season, and it will be a real battle as it is always a difficult place to go.”
Last week saw Craig Stuart’s men fall to a heavy 4-1 defeat to the hands of inform Godalming Town.
“Last week was disappointing against a very good Godalming side.”
“We were punished by a 20-minute spell in the first half where we conceded three goals, and we can’t afford to be doing that if we want to be successful.”
There is however light at the end of the tunnel for Mullet’s supporters, with a couple of players making long awaited returns to action.
“This week we welcome some key players back to the squad, with the likes of Toby Funnell and Harry Russell being available.”
“We have really missed both lads, and both are absolutely chomping at the bit to be involved.”
“Having both Toby and Harry available again could really breath new life into our campaign.”
“Dave Herbert made his debut last week and looked good. He just needs more game time now – and he will quickly become a key player for us.”
“I am confident that if we have our full squad available, then we are a match for anyone in this league – and who knows where we can end up at the end of the season if we can get on a winning run.”
“Hopefully tomorrow will be the start of that.”
Come and support The Mullets this weekend as we travel to East Sussex to take on Mile Oak – 3pm Kick Off, Chalky Lane, Mile Oak, BN41 2WN.
