This weekend sees The Mullets travel to FA Headquarters in Lancing to face a Montpellier Villa side who are still looking for their first points of the season.

The Villain’s have had a tough start to the season, and having already tasted defeat to The Mullets in The RUR Cup, will be looking to avenge the defeat on their 3G Surface.

“Montpellier played well against us in the RUR Cup – probably the best they have played all season, and they will take confidence from that on their own patch.”

“We should have been out of sight after 15 minutes in that game, but we failed to put our chances away and got dragged into a bit of a dog fight.”

“We used the cup game to get some minutes into players who needed them at the time, but this time we need to be at full strength, try and dominate play and come out swinging.”

“Montpellier are going to win a game at some point. I just hope it isn’t against us.”

You need to rewind back to late August to when Stuart’s men last tasted a victory in the league.

A packed schedule mixed with a combination of injuries, availability issues and questionable performances has seen The Mullets drop to 11th place in the league table, with Craig Stuart wanting more from his side as they look to climb the table and back into play-off contention.

“I don’t want to keep on banging on about bad luck, decisions, and errors – but we aren’t helping ourselves at the moment.”

“We are making too many basic mistakes, and I know the lads are keen to put things right. We need to.”

“Earlier in the season we looked such a threat moving forward, and now we have our strikers back available, I am hoping we can turn the page.”

“Defensively we know we need to cut out the lapses in concentration and communicate – but the proof needs to be in the pudding tomorrow.”

“There are a few in the dressing room with a point to prove and with the injuries we have there will be players who get an opportunity to play – and it is up to them to keep the shirt.”

“I have no doubts we will get a reaction.”
