Hat-trick man Harry Russell.........
Report courtesy of ‘AFC Uckfield Website’ Thank you
AFC Uckfield Town suffered their 4th defeat in 5 league games on Saturday afternoon, going down 3-5 at home to Arundel in the Premier Division of the Southern Combination League.
Uckfield took the lead after 16 minutes when Dominic Clark took advantage of a good free kick from new signing Merrick James-Lewis, however the visitors had turned it around to lead before the 30 minute mark – first a 20 yard strike from left back Steve Herbert and then striker Harry Russell finding the back of the net.
It looked done at the break after Rory Biggs made it 1-3 2 minutes before the interval. HT 1-3
It was Harry Russell on the double at the hour mark, giving the visitors a 4-1 advantage and things got even worse a few minutes later when Uckfield were reduced to 10 men, Andrew Dalhouse given his marching orders.
An unlikely comeback was then on the cards, 2 quick goals from Dominic Clark and Connor French made it 3-4 – but Harry Russell completed his hat trick from the penalty spot in injury time.
